Cumin
AQF has expertise in handling and processing cumin seeds and ground cumin(cumin powder). We can supply 150 mT of cumin products a month.
Our top ground cumin export destinations are Israel, the UK, and Germany. Our ground cumin is approved for Kosher for Passover for our Israeli customers.
Ground cumin is passed through a 25# sieve. The product may contain 8-12% moisture, Volatile Oil > 1.5.
Cumin represents our second largest product volume after onions.
Our Process
The cumin plantation takes place in the month of Oct/Nov. Harvesting is done in the Feb/Mar month. Thereafter sound seeds that have been dried, milled, and metal detected in accordance with good manufacturing practice and complying with GFSI.
About Cumin
India is the world's largest producer of cumin, accounting for about 70%. The other major cumin-producing countries are Syria (13%), Turkey (5%), UAE (3%), and Iran. India produced 856,000 tons of cumin seed in the 2020–2021 fiscal year. The cumin plantation takes place in the month of Oct/Nov. Harvesting is done in the Feb/Mar month. Our Warehouses
We maintain two temperature-controlled storage facilities in India , along with an additional one in the UK . These storage units are operational year-round and are strategically utilized for the purpose of rapidly fulfilling customer orders based on their specified preferences.
